In the following short interview with Marco Induti you can read about his goals and expectations in his new role as Deputy CTO of the SVTI Group and how he wants to help shape the future of the SVTI Group.
Innovation Day is a key moment of sharing, a unique opportunity during the year when the entire group can openly come together to gain inspiration and look toward the future. Each innovation workshop is therefore a crucial milestone in a journey that culminates in this event. There is no innovation without sharing: that’s why our goal, mine, Oliver's, and the entire innovation team’s, is to create, through every workshop, the right conditions for Innovation Day to be a real opportunity for everyone to grow, spark creativity, and turn new ideas into concrete initiatives. For us, it is not just a milestone, but a stepping stone to continuously shape the future of innovation within our Group.
Technological progress is accelerating at an unprecedented pace. While in the past, it took decades for new technologies to be adopted, today, tools like AI evolve and become mainstream in just a few years, or even months, profoundly transforming how we live and work. Keeping up, selecting, and implementing technologies that can truly create value for our group in such a rapidly changing world is a complex challenge. That’s why my primary goal is to support Oliver in strategic decision-making and to experiment firsthand with new technologies and initiatives. My expectation? To have a tangible impact on technological transformation, helping the company not just to adapt to change but to lead it.
First and foremost, I want to emphasize that we are here to support anyone in the Group who wants to develop their business area, drive change, or introduce new solutions. We provide support not only from a technological perspective but also in validating new ideas and initiatives. Often, innovation can seem overwhelming or unattainable when tackled alone. However, in these nearly five years within the Group, I’ve had the chance to meet people with extremely diverse yet highly valuable skills. This has led me to believe that, as a famous slogan says, “Impossible is nothing”.
We want our new initiative, the Technological Office, to become a reference point for everyone. Our goal is to develop it in a way that connects the demand for technology with the available expertise, leveraging our know-how and continuously expanding the Group’s technological capabilities.
I believe that everyone has the potential to make an impact, both within and beyond their organization. I see it as a privilege and not something reserved for specific roles like mine: each person, in their own way, contributes to creating value. Often, the impact of our work extends even further outside than within. Just think about the number of clients we serve in Switzerland and abroad, but above all, about our DNA, which is built on a daily commitment to safety in society. That’s why I see myself as a small yet meaningful part, just like all our colleagues, of an organization that plays a significant role in the external world and for the community.
